Purpose
I'm a Coggin BMW customer. Across two separate repairs, I found genuine BMW parts priced above BMW's suggested retail price, and on an earlier repair, labor billed for significantly more time than Coggin's own text-message updates showed the vehicle was actually in the shop.
I understand that a dealership can set its own retail prices, and that MSRP is a suggested price, not necessarily a mandatory maximum. My question is about transparency: when charges run substantially above suggested pricing, repeatedly, I believe customers should be able to see that before authorizing thousands of dollars in repair work. This site exists so other Coggin BMW customers can look at the same numbers I did and draw their own conclusions.
Methodology
Every figure on this site is sourced from one of the following:
- My own repair invoices from Coggin BMW.
- Coggin's own automated text-message service updates.
- BMW's published suggested retail pricing for the genuine parts listed.
- Pricing quotes for the identical genuine BMW part numbers from other authorized BMW dealers.
Where documentation is still being compiled, sections say so explicitly rather than being filled in with estimates or assumptions. Nothing on this site is presented as a legal conclusion about wrongdoing — it's a presentation of billing and pricing data for readers to evaluate themselves.
